The cast of Glee have revealed they are ‘excited’ about wearing Lady GaGa costumes for the an upcoming episode based on the music of the Telephone singer.
In the episode, the Glee boys will perform a Kiss track whilst the girls and overly camp Kurt will cover one of GaGa’s hits.
Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt said: “I think we might have had more fun doing the Lady GaGa episode than the Madonna episode..”
He added:”Just because her music is so present in our world today. The outfits that we wore were just ridiculous and so creative and just great.”
Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) continued: “It was just crazy. We had wigs on, I mean the costume department was crazy that week.”
However, Lea Michele who plays Rachel Berry in the hit US TV show confessed the GaGa style outfits were hard to wear adding: “It was very, very, very difficult to wear the clothes. I mean, that’s some heavy gear and I give her a lot of credit for being able to wear the stuff that she wears.”
She continued: “Lady GaGa, I think, will be the baby of the Madonna episode. If not, just as good. I haven’t seen it yet but we had so much fun shooting it…”
Whilst Kurt, Rachel and Co are going GaGa, Cory Monteith who plays loveable Finn was also unimpressed with his outfit for the Kiss performance.
Monteith said: “Full Kiss regalia…We’re calling it Gliss. You know what the hardest part was? They put white greasepaint all over your face, and I don’t know how the actual Kiss did it, but they put the paint on your face and then you can’t touch your face.”
He added: “Or else the paint gets all over your fingers and runs. So your face gets itchy, cause I had this wig on, and the hair gets stuck to my face and I can’t scratch it. It sucked.”
Lady Gaga has revealed that she owns over 20 wigs, which she changes according to her mood.
Gaga explained that she likes to change her wigs to reflect what she is feeling inside.
She added that she hasn’t been shopping for over a year, as her assistants, or as she calls them, ‘Gaga fairies’, do it for her.
Lady Gaga said: “I can have a new hairstyle everyday without having to run to the hairdresser, which is great, isn’t it?
“And I can choose which one I want to wear depending on my mood. Today I felt like red curls. The way I present myself to the outside world always reflects how I feel inside.”
Lady Gaga explained the difference between being glamorous and leading a life of luxury, insisting that despite having little money before skyrocketing to fame, that she was still very vain and very glamorous and, moreover, that she still is.
